The Altus Bulldogs boys’ swim team defeated Wichita Falls Rider 290 to 89, Wichita Falls High 290 to 61, Wichita Falls Hirschi 290 to 42, and Duncan 106 to
43. The girls beat Wichita Falls Rider 242 to 129, Wichita Falls High 242 to 50, Wichita Falls Hirschi 242 to 4, Duncan 105 to 16 and Marlow 105 to 10. The guys are 4-0 and the girls are 5-0.
Individual State qualifiers for the guys are: Paul Davis in the 200 Freestyle (2:11.92), the 100 Fly (1:03.21), the 200 IM (2:12.56), the 100 Breast (1:08.88), and the 100 Back (1:04.71); Garrett Thompson in the 50 Free (23:97), the 100 Back (1:03.21), and the 100 Free 53:43; Daniel Brown in the 100 Free (55:17) and 400 Free (4:59.67); and Mathew Aguilar in the 50 Free (24:91) and the 100 Back (1:03.78).
Chasity Cooper is the only individual State qualifier for the girls at this time.
She qualified the 200 IM (2:36.00).
“ All relays have qualified for the guys and the girls. We will keep switching the relay members throughout the season until we get the fastest scenarios,” said
Coach Linda Wiginton. “The swimmers are working hard and we are increasing the yardage and the intensity of the workouts to help them improve.”
The Bulldogs host the three Lawton schools this Friday at 3:15 p.m.
