OKLAHOMA CITY – A contract was awarded this month for bridge repair in Harmon County , Sen. Mike Schulz and Rep. Purcy Walker recently announced.
According to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, the project involves repairing damage on the unnamed county bridge over the Red River, eight miles south and three miles west of Hollis.
Sen. Schulz, R- Altus, said the State Transportation Commission awarded just over a $7 million contract on the project to Earth Builders, L.P. The Decatur, TX company was the lowest of four bidders for the job, said Rep. Walker, D- Elk City.
Once construction begins, the project is estimated to be completed within nine months.
