Will the Altus High School Library become the town’s new Senior Center? The figures will soon be available to tell the rest of the story. The Altus City Council has ordered an assessment of the library to help determine how much it would cost to bring the library up to current specifications. Note the curb at the main entrance of the library above. There is one small wheelchair ramp to the east of this curb. The new facility “should be completely handicap accessible,” according to City Administrator Mike Nettles.
