Cyclist takes evasive measures to avoid collision

Tyler Hill, 17, of Altus, took evasive action to avoid a collision with a car Thursday afternoon which resulted in a trip to the hospital. According to reports, Krystal Martin, 42, of Altus, was attempting to make a lane change and didn’t see Hill who was on a motorcycle. Hill took evasive action, hitting the brakes and laying the cycle down. The accident happened at the intersection of Park Lane and East Broadway. Hill, seen sitting in the door of the EMS unit having his knee treated, received head, trunk, internal and leg injuries. He was transported to JCMH where he was treated and released. No citations were issued.
