Jo was born Jan. 30, 1943 to Charles Asa Butchee and Mary Anita Pair Butchee in Altus. Jo was raised on the family farm in Warren and graduated in 1961 from Warren High School. Jo married Charles Barry Davis June 4, 1961 at the First Baptist Church in Blair. They made their home in Blair and spent many wonderful years together there. They were just a few months short of celebrating their 44th wedding anniversary upon Barry’s death.
Jo worked on the farm with her brothers while growing up but made her career in the public through the banking services, Southwestern Oklahoma State College, and the agriculture business industry. Jo was never one to just sit at home and upon her retirement she returned to serving others as a transit driver where she was well liked by all that traveled with her. Jo loved to travel to rodeos with Barry and spend time with her children and grandchildren.
Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Barry Davis; her parents, Charles Asa Butchee and Mary Anita Pair Butchee; one brother, Charles Dee Butchee; her father-in-law, Charles William Davis; and her mother-in-law, Opal Lee McElroy Davis.
