The 12th Annual Coats for Kids Program was a huge success. Since Nov. 1, over $8,900 was raised in addition to new coat donations and every coat request from the Salvation Army was met. Challenges made by local civic groups and merchants were well received and the community came together to ensure that children in need receive the gift of warmth this Christmas season. Stage Store Manager Brenda Konen and her team provided tremendous discounts which helped Altus Fire/Rescue to be frugal with the monetary donations received from the community.
