Feed the Children caravan to stop in Mangum

Oklahoma City – Feed The Children’s “Americans Feeding Americans Emergency Caravan” will make its next stop in Oklahoma to help 5,600 families in need. This was made possible by funds raised by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services county offices throughout the state and the County Administrators Association. Feed The Children’s headquarters is in Oklahoma City.

Fourteen tractor-trailers filled with food and personal care items will be distributed to several areas in Oklahoma on Thursday, Nov. 19. Press opportunities will begin at 9 a.m. at Feed The Children’s Distribution Center, located at 29 North McCormick (off Reno between Ann Arbor and McArthur in Oklahoma City.)

Feed The Children, working with County Administrator's Association of Oklahoma, will provide a box of food and a box of personal care items to recipients. The boxes are designed to help a family for up to one week.

The distribution sites will be the following:

Holdenville: Hughes County DHS Office (1 Mile west of Holdenville on US 270)

Perry: Noble County Fairgrounds

Okmulgee: Okmulgee County DHS Office

Mangum: Christian Store

Woodward: Living Word Faith Fellowship Church

Stilwell: Schwan's Building

Idabel: By Pass Church of Christ

Poteau:

Pryor: Locke Supply

Clinton: Premium Beer of Oklahoma

Bartlesville: Washington County DHS Office

Oklahoma City: Abundant Life Church of God in Christ

Oklahoma City: Bridge Builders Worship Center

Duncan: Hastings Parking Lot
