The Headrick First Baptist Church will be celebrating their 125th anniversary on Sept. 9. All past clergy and members are invited to attend. Morning worship will be at 11 a.m. with Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. Lunch will be served. Please RSVP if you plan to be there for the meal. The afternoon session will convene at 2 p.m. The Wichita Mountain Bluegrass Band will be there, along with the reading of the history of the church, and other interesting events. The church is located at 209 S. Fifth Street in Headrick.

The weekend should be quite busy. The Headrick Old Timers Reunion will meet on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 10 a.m. at the Altus Community Center. They will start eating at 12:30 p.m. One is asked to bring your favorite dish or dishes to share. Come for both of these events and have a very enjoyable weekend meeting old friends and making new ones.

Pray for the church and the members that it may send forth the message of God another 125 years.
