It was a long night for the Altus High Lady Bulldogs on Tuesday.

Altus traveled to Elgin for its first home game of the year and they were defeated by the Lady Owls 46-21.

The Lady Bulldogs led only at one point during the game. Itiya Knight hit the first basket of the night and Altus held a 2-0 lead.

It was short lived, however. Elgin (4-0) ran of 10 unanswered points and went all the Lady Owls way the rest of the game.

Elgin’s biggest lead crested at 25 points (42-17) at the end of the third period.

Carsyn King led Altus with six points. Tisay Woodhouse finished with five points.

Altus, 0-2 on the season, will play Wichita Falls, Texas in the first round of the Lady Bulldog Classic at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

The three-day tournament will be played at Cletus B. Street Fieldhouse.
