As the summer irrigation run continues in the Lugert-Altus Irrigation District, the water level at Lake Lugert-Altus is receding.

Elevation stands at 1552.50 feet above sea level, and active storage is 97,794 acre feet which is 73 percent of capacity.

At the Tom Steed Reservoir, elevation was gauged at 1409.90 feet, and active storage was 90,832 acre feet on the latest report, which is 93 percent full.

According to Quartz Mountain Nature Park’s Sue Hokanson, this past weekend's rain helped regreen the grasses at Quartz Mountain Nature Park. She also reported that the boat ramps are all still functional and there are sandy beaches in the Main Park.
