The public is encouraged to attend the meeting to hear about recent issues in Congress and to express their concerns to Lucas.
Every year, Lucas conducts town hall meetings in all counties in his congressional district to give his constituents an opportunity to meet with the congressman. Lucas’ congressional district includes all or portions of 32 counties in Oklahoma, stretching from the Oklahoma panhandle to the outskirts of Tulsa, and from Yukon to Altus in the southwest. The congressional district takes up almost half the state’s land mass.
Frank Lucas is serving his seventh full term as a Member of Congress, representing Oklahoma's Third Congressional District. He serves on the Agriculture, Financial Services, and Science and Technology Committees, and is currently the Ranking Member of the Agriculture Subcommittee on Conservation, Credit, Energy and Research. Lucas also operates a farm and cattle ranch in Roger Mills County.
Constituents are encouraged to attend the town meeting that is most convenient to them, whether they live in that town or another.
Other town meetings scheduled for Thursday this week include Cordell from 9 to 10 a.m. in the precinct room at the Cordell Police Station; in Mangum from 12 to 1 p.m. in the conference room of Mangum Brick Company; and from 2 to 3 p.m., at the Hollis Civic Center.
He will also hold a meeting on Friday from 11 a.m.to noon in the seminar room of Western Technology Center in Hobart.
