While on the scene of a loud noise investigation, officers with Altus Police heard shots fired, and later arrested an individual.

According to reports, police were at Commerce and Blain around 8 p.m. Wednesday investigating a loud noise call when they heard shots fired.

“There had been ‘shots fired’ calls coming in from that area from some time, and officers just happened to be there when it happened again,” said Mike Turner of the Altus Police Department.

Turner said there were several people at the scene when the incident happened, and when an individual was seen fleeing from the area matching the description of the shooting suspect, a chase began.

Suspect Isaiah Greene, 20, of Altus, was later arrested for failing to appear and/or pay fines and/or court costs on: possession of firearm after adjudication, domestic abuse, possessing controlled dangerous substance amd public intoxication.
