The Choir Parents Booster Club will hold a dinner Monday, Nov. 19 in the Altus High School Cafeteria. The menu will be chicken casserole, green beans, salad, bread, and chocolate cake.

Doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets can be purchased through Nov. 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the AHS auditorium. Cost is $12 single, $20 per couple, or $40 for a family of four or more. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.

Desta Pritchett will perform at 6 p.m. Desta grew up in Altus and graduated from Altus High School in 2002. She went on to major in music and received her Associate of Arts from Western Oklahoma State College. She moved to Branson, Mo. in January 2004 to pursue her music career.

Desta sang and danced in the Shoji Tabuchi show for 2 1/2 years, and from there, she was the featured female vocalist at the Pierce Arrow Theater for six years. She performed anywhere from 12-17 shows a week, and she absolutely loved every minute of it.

Desta hung up her show shoes on May 31 of this year, and she and her husband Jason are now stay-at-home parents working from home and spending every waking second with their precious little girl, Paisley.

Desta still enjoys performing at churches and singing whenever she can, so she is so excited to come back to her old stomping grounds to perform for some wonderful people.
