Two different storms moved through the Altus area Thursday evening. The first saw a downburst hit Olustee, above. The Olustee area saw some roof and tree damage from the storm, while power was reported to be out for about 2 1/2 hours southeast of Blair. Although there was a lot of wind and lightning from the storms, no notable damage was reported in Altus. A brief power outage was reported in the 1200 block of North Main during the first storm that moved through around 7 p.m. The storms did cool off the area which has experienced daily highs from 105 to 107 over the past week.
