Roberto Jesus Roblez, 40, of Altus, made his first appearance in Jackson County District Court Thursday after an incident that happened on July 13.
According to reports, Police were called to a disturbance at 520 S. Hightower on the morning of July 13 where two people at the residence had been arguing, and then Roblez left.
The female resident and her brother had moved Roblez’s personal belongings outside. When Roblez returned, he reportedly became enraged and started arguing with the brother at the residence. The argument turned physical, and when things escalated, Roblez was said to have picked up a screwdriver and stabbed the female resident’s brother in the forehead, and again above his left eye.
The injured man was treated at the scene by EMS personnel, but refused to be transported to the hospital. He was later taken to Jackson County Memorial Hospital by private vehicle.
Roblez is in the Jackson County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
