Members of the anti-tobacco program Students Working Against Tobacco (SWAT) got together Wednesday to promote a campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids and to raise awareness in the fight against youth using tobacco and exposure to secondhand smoke. SWAT is a statewide, youth-led movement for ages 12-18. SWATs mission is to empower and unite youth to resist and expose Big Tobacco while changing current attitudes about tobacco. Wednesday was also declared “Kick Butts Day 2009” in Jackson County.
