Duke City Wide Cleanup will be held Saturday, April 28. All volunteers welcome and must meet at the Fire Department at 8 a.m. Items that need to be picked up should be placed curbside. Duke Chamber of Commerce will be serving lunch at the city park for all workers. Eddie Summers, assisted by R.B. Masters, will be in charge of the citywide cleanup.

The Altus Reds Baseball Team will have a garage sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at Peticoat Junction. This 11 year old boys baseball team is going to the Little League World Series in Kansas and community support is needed. Altus Masonic Lodge Number 62 will conduct the yearly Student of the Day and the Teacher of the Day Program at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 29. All students and teachers who have been selected are requested to be at the Masonic Lodge, 1120 N. Hudson, for the presentations. Altus Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #120 presents the 2007 National Police Week 5K Run and 1.5 Mile Fun Run/Walk to be held at 9 a.m. May 19 at the Altus Community Center.
