Andre was an indescribable character, who was outgoing and outspoken. Whenever he was around, you knew a joke was coming. Even as a child, Andre was very athletic; he enjoyed riding bikes, scooters and roller blades. As he got older, Andre played basketball and ran track. He also enjoyed football and would often get up early on Saturdays to go play football with his brothers and friends. But most of all, Andre LOVED and protected his family; he could argue and fuss with family but nobody else could not do it.
He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory, his mother, Connie; father, Tony; stepfather, Kelvin; his brothers, Anthony “Dink”, Antonio, and Andrew; step-brother, Kelvin, Jr.; sisters, Ashley, Amanda, and Amber; two nieces, Cianni and Aminah; two nephews, Andrew, Jr. and Zac’harias; grandparents, Mary and Charles Horshaw, Mary Grimes and William Bond; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends, who loved him dearly.
Andre was preceded in death by his sister, Angel; uncle, Tommy Teagues; and maternal grandmother, Linda Bond.
Andre’s smile, charm, and personality will be missed. As well as having him at the spades table. But we take comfort in knowing that because you gave your life to the Lord Jesus Christ, we will see you again.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
