Ron McAtee and son Ron “Racer” McAtee Jr. are shown reading the names of the soldiers remembered that are written in stone at the Jackson County War Memorial yesterday. The memorial, dedicated on Veteran's Day, November 11, 1989, lists casualties of World War I, World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. The memorial was the site of a Veteran’s Day ceremony. The local VFW Post 4876 hosted a luncheon following the event.
