Medicine Park - Cobblestone Galleries will be hosting a Watercolor/Sketching Plein Air Workshop by watercolorist Tom Biggs on Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6, for only $60 per person. Spaces are limited, so sign-up before April 4. Details about the workshop may be seen on www.cobblestonegalleries.com or visit Cobblestone Galleries on Facebook.

Participants will meet at the Cobblestone Classroom Annex and then head out to sketch and paint in the open air around the historic Medicine Park area on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. After sketching, participants will return to the classroom to complete works of art.

Lunch will be from noon to 1 p.m. Participates have a choice of restaurants in Medicine Park or can bring their own lunch. For food, lodging, and other information about the area, visit www.medicinepark.com.

If you have any questions about supplies you may contact Tom Biggs at tebiggs99@yahoo.com.

Supplies you will need include a permanent black ink pen (Sharpie hard point will work, but not the soft point), sketching book or pad (at least 100# paper), set of basic watercolors (small set if you want to color on site). Students will be coloring back in the workshop classroom, so size is not important, set of basic watercolor brushes (don’t have to be expensive for first painters). If student uses single sheets of paper, they will need a board (drawing, painting, or Masonite) big enough to fit the paper (Average size paper would be 9x12”), small container to hold water, and a roll of paper towels.
