Main Street Altus’ Economic Restructuring Committee awarded Leslie Briscoe, owner of Lady Austin’s, as the Candy Cane Cash Holiday Window Display winner. Lady Austin’s’ was awarded with a $250 Candy Cane Cash “Sweet” Stakes Sponsorship for 2008. The Enchanted Door placed 2nd, and “Confectionately Yours” and Johnson’s Vacuum Shop & Sewing Basket tied for 3rd place. A total of fifteen businesses participated in the Second Annual Main Street Altus Window Contest.
