Greyson Richard, 2 1/2 year old son of Ross and Laura Richard from Brisbane, Australia, shows his bike to Shirley Sutherland, Director of CASA. Greyson is the grandson of Charles and Karol Clayton and Cindy Richard of Altus. Greyson brought his bike from Australia to ride in the Diamondback 100 Bike Ride this Saturday, Aug. 1. The ride is a fund raiser for CASA and will begin at 7a.m. from the Altus Reservoir. Last year, over 100 riders came from all over Oklahoma and Texas to ride. This year promises to equal or exceed that. Riders can choose from a 10 mile family ride around the reservoir, or a 30, 65 or 100 mile route that travels throughout the SW Oklahoma towns of Martha, Mangum, Granite, Friendship, and Blair. Fully stocked rest stops will be available every 10 miles with SAG Personnel monitoring every route. Early registration is encouraged. Riders may pickup registration packets July 31 from 6-8 p.m. at the Altus Community Center. Registration will continue Saturday morning 5:30 to 6:30 a.m. Riders may also register on-line @ www.bikereg.com T-shirts will be available to purchase for CASA supporters who choose not to ride.
