CHICKASHA - The Altus High Bulldogs grabbed the lead in the second quarter and never gave it up en-route to the consolation title of the Chickasha Tournament. Altus defeated Oklahoma City U.S, Grant in the consolation finals.
The Generals cut the Bulldogs lead to 41-36 with a little more than two minutes remaining. But Altus closed game out with a pair of free throws by Kasen Warren and a basket by Nico Maldonado with less than one minute remaining.
Maldonado led Altus with 15 points. Warren had 12 points.
Altus, 6-4 on the season, will host Lawton MacArthur on Thursday.
