Cordell, Snyder and Hobart were first round winners in the Great Plains National Bank Tri-County Basketball Tournament played Monday at the Western Oklahoma State College gym.

Snyder 46, Hobart 34

Girls

It was tied 21-21 at halftime and the Lady Cyclones led only 27-26 going into the final period. Snyder then outscored Hobart 20-7 in the final eight minutes.

Marley Anderson hit a three point shot with three minutes to give Snyder a 10 point lead at the time. That proved to be too much for the Lady Bearcats to make up.

Anderson led all scorers with 27 points. Chrissy Hollister led Hobart with eight points.

Hobart 46, Mangum 36

Boys

Hobart fired out to a ten point lead after the first quarter and the Bearcats made that lead hold up.

Krision Ayers scored 13 points to lead Hobart.

Ty Rope Smith tallied 11 points for Mangum.

Cordell 85, Granite 17

Girls

It was a match-up of the number one and number eight seeds.

Cordell jumped out to a 22-0 lead after the first period and it was all down hill after that for Coach Jana Rogers’ crew.

Gabbie Parsons tallied 26 points for the Lady Blue Devils. Mindy Martin led Granite with five points.

Cordell 58, Navajo 30

Boys

The Blue Devil took control early and led 34-9 at halftime.

Jake Wedel paced Cordell with 19 points. Cassidy Mesa, Matthew Mathis and Nathan Cross had six points each for Navajo.
