A former Quizno’s Sandwich Restaurant customer looks through the window of the empty building at 2221 N. Main. Luckily for the hungry patron, a new sub shop will be opening in the location soon. According to store owner Tyrone Muldowney, demolition work will begin at the former site of Quizno’s soon, with contractors meeting with subcontractors, and bids being turned in by the end of this week.
Muldowney, owner of Jersey Mike’s and Atlanta Bread Company of Lawton, is excited to bring “authentic subs made with high quality meat on fresh made rolls throughout the day,” in addition to adding more employment opportunities to Altus. There are more than 600 Jersey Mike’s locations currently open and under development. Muldowney said that their subs are made with more meat than any other sub restaurant. Construction at the Altus location is expected to last two and a half months before their Grand Opening.
