The first Annual Walk For Life will be held by Pathways Pregnancy Resource Center on Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Altus City Reservoir. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and the Walk/Run starts at 11 a.m. It will be a 2.1 mile walk or run with the runners starting first.
A free hot dog cookout will be held for participants at Hoyt Shadid Park after the Walk/Run. A celebration and prize ceremony will also be held there.
Prizes will be awarded for First Place Male, First Place Female, First Place Male under 16 and First Place Female under 16. Prizes also will be awarded for the individual that has the highest amount of sponsorships, highest amount of sponsorships under 16 and the team with the highest amount per person sponsored.
Every walker/runner should try to have sponsors to help Pathways “go medical”. If participants have $50 in sponsorships, they’ll receive a free water bottle.
