Red River Valley Museum holds Texas-sized Cow-Boy saloon event

VERNON, TEXAS - On Saturday, September 22, the Red River Valley Museum and guild will be re-opening the Cow – Boy saloon established at Doans Crossing in the early 1800’s. The event will be held at the Hillcrest Country Club from 7 to 10 p. m. Tickets are $20 and may be purchased at the museum.

You will not want to miss this fun-filled night. We will have for your enjoyment the casino game tables which will include a craps table, six Blackjack tables and two Texas Hold’em tables. We will have wonderful “Texas Style” food, a cash bar and unbelievable entertainment, Vernon’s own Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson. For those lucky people with winning chips, The Country Store will have something for everyone to purchase. We will also have live auction items including Cowboy tickets, Nascar tickets, a condo in Red River for a week and a cabin in Rudioso for 5 days and many wonderful silent auction items.

We will also be taking $20 donations to win a Remington 1100 3G shotgun. Drawing will be held the night of the event.
