Registration being accepted for 32nd annual Altus Christmas Parade

Registration is being accepted for the 32nd Annual Altus Christmas Parade which will step off from Western Oklahoma State College at 3 p.m. sharp on Sunday, Dec. 2. There is no charge to be in the parade but early registration is a must. Deadline for entries is Monday, Nov. 26. Call the Altus Chamber of Commerce if you need entry forms and rules and regulations. Local business and industry underwrite and sponsor the cost of the parade.

The parade will begin at Western Oklahoma State College (2801 N. Main) proceed south on North Main to Commerce Street. The parade entries will then disperse as follows: Odd # entries will go West on Commerce St. to various parking lots. Even # entries will go East on Commerce St. to parking lots around City Hall. All trucks will go south to Broadway.

This years parade theme is “A Picture Perfect Christmas”. Debbie Davis is the Chairman of the Christmas Parade Action Group. The parade is a community project with the Altus Chamber of Commerce, the City of Altus, Western Oklahoma State College and Altus Air Force Base representatives providing many needed services. The reviewing stand will be placed across the street from KEYB Radio 808 North Main Street.

Don Lane and Trudy Cavillo with KEYB Radio will serve as master of ceremonies.
