Two Altus High School cross country runners have qualified for the state meet.
Alan Ortiz placed 10th in a field of 129 runners with a time of 17:21 in Class 5A Regional 5K run at Norman recently.
Julia Park placed 23rd out of 113 runners in the girls regional.
The Altus boys and girls were each eighth in the team standings and the top seven teams qualified for the state meet which will be Saturday at Edmond Sante Fe High School.
Brenda Ortiz had the second best time for the AHS girls which was 14:00 and good enough for 31st in the standings. Sicily Gonzalez was 39th with a 14:29 and Katherine Krawietz was 41st with a time of 14:39.
Devin Huckaby had the second best time for the AHS boys. He was 37th with an 18:38. Andres Benitez, was 55th, with a time of 19:18.
