The Altus Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, April 7 at 2 p.m. at the City (Hightower) Park located on the corner of Park Lane and Broadway. This is sponsored by the City of Altus and McDonalds, with KWHW/KQ106, local car dealers, Lily of the Valley No. 135 OES, the Myrtle B. Scott, Willie Gallop Consistary #377, St. James Lodge #229 and James Crane Royal Arch Chapter. The hunt is for children ages zero to 12.
The annual Easter egg hunt hosted by Bridges Rehabilitation Center, Plantation Assisted Living and Plantation Nursing Care Center, will be held Friday, April 6 at 2 p.m. Children one to 11 years are invited to participate. Maundy Thursday Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. today, April 5, at First Presbyterian Church, 208 East Cypress, with the Rev. Bill Carr of Norman officiating. Experience communion, Lenten readings and special music. The public is invited to attend this Holy Week service.
Good Friday Services will be held at Highland Heights United Methodist Church, 1911 N. Main, on April 6, at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited.
An Easter cantata, “Because He Lives” will be presented by the choir under the direction of Gary Beach, Music Director, at Southside Baptist Church, Sunday, April 8, at 10:45 a.m., 1100 Asa Lee.
An Easter Sunrise Service will be held at the New Beginning Full Gospel Ministry With A New Hope located at 400 S. Willard on Sunday, April 8 at 7 a.m., sponsored by the Willie A. Gallop Masonic Consistory #377. For more information call Johnnie B. Flowers at 482-3977.
