When the Null family heard that some babies in Altus are lacking safe beds, they called Pathways Pregnancy Resource Center. Their Pack’nPlay has been used by many babies in the family over the years, but it can still provide a safe place to sleep for a few more infants.
Pack’nPlays are suitable for infants up to 30 pounds and 36 inches in length. If you have a Pack’nPlay in good working order, or you wish to donate funds for the Beds For Babies program, please call Pathways at 580-477-4400.
Many in need have inquired about these portable beds and Pathways has increased its hours to accommodate clients. Now they just need more Pack’nPlays. Starting April 4, Pathways will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesdays and on Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Pathways is located at 115 W. Walker, across from Loves.
Mission on Wheels is also affiliated with the Beds For Babies program. If you have Pack’nPlays to donate, they may be given to Edna Douglas at their facility at 213 W. Walnut on Mondays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. . Their number is 580-649-8620.
