An Altus man, Jason Johnson, 26, was arrested on an warrant isssued on April 24 from an investigation that was reported on April 12. According to Chief Tim Murphy, the victim came to the Altus Police Department and reported that Johnson had followed her, while she walked to her vehicle, on the morning of April 11. After she opened the door and sat down in her car, she states that Johnson touched her in an inappropriate manner. This incident took place in the parking lot of the Western Oklahoma State College, after the two attended a morning class together.
On the afternoon of April 24, officers responded to Walmart on an unrelated complaint, and they came into contact with Johnson, who was arrested without incident. He has since bonded out of the Jackson County Jail on $10,000 bail.
