According to Altus Police Chief Tim Murphy, “Altus police have arrested two suspects in connection with a sexual assault and robbery of a 20 year old female that occurred Saturday evening, March 24. The victim reported the two suspects forced her into a vacant residence on Blain Street. Once inside, one of the suspects held the victim down while the other sexually assaulted her. After the assault, the victim stated the two suspects removed money from her clothing.” Arrested, Chief Murphy said, were 22 year-old Dewight Jasper, of Altus, and a 15-year-old juvenile. Both have been charged with first degree rape and first degree robbery. Jasper is being held in the Jackson County Jail. For charges, see the Police log.
