The Jackson County 4-H Fashion Revue Contest was held at the OSU Extension office on Monday, April 19, 2012. The competition included elementary, junior high and high school age groups where members could enter two of the seven classes. Classes were Athletic wear, Casual western Wear, Casual wear, Dressy Casual wear, Dress wear, Formal wear, and 4-H Show Ring Dress.
4-H members participating in the competition have an opportunity to learn about better grooming, poise, fit, consumer value, color and fashion considerations for their clothing. The participants were also interviewed by the judges concerning the selection and care of their garments. Jr. High and High School 4-Hers were also asked questions regarding how garment selection, poise, and textiles connect with their chosen 4-H project areas.
The Elementary Grand Champion went to Eric Moreau of Olustee. 4-H Elementary Reserve Grand champion was presented to Ally Angelly of Blair 4-H. Dusty Dollins received Junior High Grand Champion along side of her sister, Jimmie Kate Dollins as Junior High Reserves Champion.
