AHS to host Bulldog 5K race on April 6
Altus High School will host the second annual “Pound the Pavement” Bulldog 5K Walk/Run at the Altus City Reservoir at 10 a.m. on April 6. This year, the event will be open to the public, as well as to Altus Public Schools staff and students age 12 and up. Phone scam is preying on elderly
State banking personnel contacted the Altus Times Tuesday to report a phone scam. According to the Oklahoma Bankers Association, local residents have been receiving calls from someone threatening to withhold their Medicare cards if they don’t cooperate, and give them their personal checking account information. Vehicle in residential hit and run said to have been stolen
Altus Police were called to 1312 “F” Street at 2.42 a.m. Sunday morning after a car hit the front of the residence and fled the scene. According to reports, the vehicle was a black Chevrolet Impala.
