Altus police are investigating an overnight shooting that has left one woman injured. Police responded to 903 East Liveoak shortly after 10 p.m. on Monday night to do a welfare check on a male subject threatening to hurt himself. Computer-based operations limited after hard drives crash
The Jackson County Clerk’s Office had two computer hard drives crash over the weekend, inhibiting most computer-based administrative operations. During the regular meeting of the Jackson County Commissioners on Monday, April 1, Jackson County Clerk Robin Booker reported that the office had no computer systems, Internet, or printing capabilities, as discovered on Monday morning. District Attorney to sell forfeited vehicles
District Attorney John Wampler announced today the sale of several forfeited vehicles and motorcycles at a public auction to be conducted online beginning Sunday, March 31, and concluding on Wednesday, April 10. The Oklahoma Blood Institute is planning two local blood drives for this coming week. The first will be held on Tuesday, April 2 from 1 to 5:30 p.m. at the Altus Community Center, 401 Falcon Road, and is being sponsored by the Altus Masonic Lodge No. 62.
