Library ready for book sale event

The annual Book Lovers’ Sale at the Altus Public Library will be held this Friday and Saturday, April 18 and 19. uDoors will open at 10 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. each day for this yearly used book sale. Get there early for the best selections. The library staff wants to make this the biggest and best sale ever and you, our patrons, can help just by stopping in and buying a book or two. Shannon to speak at meet and greet

U.S. Senate candidate T.W. Shannon will be in Altus for a “meet and greet” on Monday, April 21, 4-6 p.m. The event will be held at the Best Western, 2804 N. Home School Bands perform for Salvation Army Soup Kitchen

Free prom dresses, tuxedos, shoes, and apparel are now available for a limited time at Mission On Wheels, located at 213 W. Walnut in Altus.
