All-Sports Association hosts Alumni Golf Scramble

The Alumni Golf Tournament is open to everyone.

Anyone wanting to play in the 2-man scramble Saturday morning just needs to be at The Greens of Altus at 8:30 to register for the tournament.

The Altus High School Alumni Golf Tournament is set for this Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at The Greens of Altus. This event which has seen participation entries swell to over 50 players each year. Conservatively, consistently over 40 players have played in the 2-man scramble each year.

This year is a little different, at least, so far.

“Our numbers are down quite a bit from what our numbers have been,” said Allen Meyer. “There are some other events that have pulled some players away this year for whatever reason. It’s not just for this year’s alumni celebrating, it is open to anyone who wants to play. Just tell them to be at the golf course at 8:30 to register.”

This event is a key fundraiser by the All-Sports Association in order for them to have enough to purchase letter jackets for all Bulldog letterman and any other items throughout the year.

The Greens is in great shape, perhaps the best it has ever looked. Get out and tee it up with your classmates.

By the way, the 1990 class said they are planning on dominating this scramble.
