A benefit dinner will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, Jan 5 at Gabrielle's Restaurant in Mangum with proceeds going to the family of Sierra Cook. Cook was the 13-year-old that died in an automobile accident two days before Christmas near Mangum.

The dinner will be an all-you-can-eat catfish meal with all the trimmings and drink. The price will be $7.50 for adults and $4.50 for kids under 12. All proceeds will be given to Sierra’s mother, Shawn Simpson Kendall. There is also an account set up at Great Plains National Bank in her name.

Sierra was a seventh grader at Mangum Junior High where she was an honor student .
