Motorcycle accident near Olustee sends man to hospital in serious condition

Elmo Jiles Jr., 54, of Quanah, Texas, was transported by Air Evac to United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas, after a motorcycle accident Thursday near Olustee.

According to reports, Jiles was traveling on State Highway 6, 7 miles west of Olustee Thursday when he failed to negotiate a curve and left the right side of the roadway and rolled several times.

He was reported to be in serious condition with trunk internal injuries.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Josh Tinsley of the Jackson County Detachment of Troop M. He was assisted by Trooper Steve Posthorst, Trooper Tyler Shelby, Trooper Justin Wheeler, Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, the Olustee Fire Department, and the jackson County EMS.
