AHS renovations on Monday’s Altus School Board agenda

The regular meeting of the Altus School Board will be held Monday beginning at 5 p.m. in the conference room of the Administrative Center, 219 N. Lee.

Under the Superintendent's reports and comments, Superintendent Bob Drury will address the semester break, pay requests for renovations and construction at Altus High School, the contract with Altus AFB, and the 2012 Shortgrass Basketball Tournament.

New policies to be addressed include: 200.091 – Records Investigation, 200.092 – Records Investigation Consent, 200.093 – Temporary Contract Notice of Limited Employment, 200.425 – Physical Education, 200.600 – Charter School Application Process, 200.601 – Charter Schools, and 500.120 – Jury Duty Service and Witness Leave Registration.

Also on the agenda are retirements and resignations, reassignments, proposed substitute/time sheet employees/volunteers and extra duty assignments.

The proposed executive session will be to discuss proposed new hires. After returning to regular session, the board will consider the employments.

Other agenda items include a change order for countertops at Altus High School, bids for the roof at Altus Junior High, surplus items including old bleachers received as surplus property from Altus Air Force Base.
