Failure to stop at sign sends three to hospital

An injury collision happened at Friday afternoon at the intersection of State Hwy 54 and State Hwy 5 in Tillman County sending three people to the hospital.

According to reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Maurice Freddie Wyatt, 59, of Hollister, was driving north on SH54 and failed to stop at a stop sign, striking a vehicle being driven by Chancie Robbins, 29, of Frederick. Robbins was west bound on SH 5.

Wyatt was taken by Tillman County EMS to Memorial Hospital in Frederick where he was treated and released.

Robbins was also taken by Tillman County EMS to Memorial Hospital in Frederick where she was admitted in stable condition with arm, leg, trunk and internal injuries.

A passenger, Lyndsey Soliz, 24, of Tipton, was also taken by Tillman County Memorial and admitted in stable condition with head injuries.

Seatbelts were equipped in both vehicles, but not in use in either.
