While not revealing what dish he will be preparing, Chef Bola promises to whet the appetite of every viewer.
Originally from Nigeria, Chef Bola came to the United States to pursue a career in the kitchens of finer hotels and restaurants. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Culinary Art and has more than 18 years experience in exquisite food preparation. He has worked at Bayfront Hilton in St. Petersburg, Fla., The Renaissance Hotel in Oklahoma City, and the Country Club and Northfork Bar and Grill. He has been the executive chef at Quartz Mountain Resort for four years.
The television appearance comes on the heels of the resorts unveiling of a new menu called ‘Bourbon Heritage … Favorites from Bourbon Country.’ It’s the flavor of bourbon married with classic foods and contemporary cocktails.
An added feature during the broadcast while Chef Bola is preparing his dish, a News 9 reporter will interview David Henderson, Quartz Mountain Resort general manager. Henderson has been general manager at Quartz Mountain for two years. He has held several positions in the hospitality industry, most recently the director of operations at the Hilton Arlington in Texas prior to his appointment to Quartz Mountain Resort.
