Norhma Jean Bolinger, 84, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., on Wednesday at the Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel with Rob Stevenson officiating. Graveside services will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Altus under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.

Norhma was born on Aug. 28, 1926, in Tulsa to Olon and Lorean (Borden) Walker. She attended the Cowboy Church off of Haws Road in Iowa Park. She had a great interest in the Native American cultures and collected artistic plates and also was a coin collector.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Houston Hawkins II; one daughter, Rive’ Rivers; and her brother, Eddie Walker.

Surviving relatives include her daughter, Kathy Gava of Houston, Texas; her son-in-law, Doug Rivers of Iowa Park, Texas; one sister, Ann Fagan of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren, Lesli Petty, Alison de la Rosa, Stephanie Johnston, Lura Hawkins, and Houston Hawkins III; and five great-grandchildren, Jenna Johnston, Cara Johnston, William Johnston, Mason de la Rosa, and Nova Hawkins.

Memorials are suggested, in lieu of flowers, to Hospice of Wichita Falls, 4909 Johnson Road, Wichita Falls, TX 76309.

Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Wednesday in the chapel at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Please share your thoughts and fond memories with the family at www.hamptonvaughancrestview.com.
