Altus loses to Duncan

It was a tough day defensively for the Altus in their game Saturday with the Duncan Demons.

The Bulldogs, who have struggled defensively throughout the year, committed eight errors and the result was a 12-8 loss to the Demons.

Six of the 12 runs Duncan scored were unearned.

It was a productive day offensively for the Bulldogs especially for senior first baseman. Ryan James had two home runs including a grand slam and a two-run circuit shot. He finished the day three for four with six runs batted in.Tyler Dennison was two for four with a solo home run,

Dom Nortonen had two singles in four at bats. Damien Ray and Brad Cox each had one hit.

Altus (4-14) traveled to Elgin Monday and lost to the Owls 13-4.

“The effort is there and we hit the ball hard but right at them,” coach Joe Johnson said.

The Bulldogs hosted Lawton High School today.
