William Christian, 33, of Altus, died Friday of massive head injuries when he jumped out of a moving vehicle on U.S. Highway 62 west of Lawton.

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol spokesman said Christian was pronounced dead at the scene, two tenths of a mile west of 267th Street, at 11:12 a.m.

Christian, he said, was a passenger in a 2002 Jeep driven eastbound by Marilyn Christian, 66. Robert Christian, 68, was also a passenger.
