Ramiro "Raymond" Garcia Jr., 33, of Olustee, died Saturday, June 5, 2004. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2004, at the Kincannon Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jose Salazar and the Rev. Abe Salazar officiating. Burial will follow services at the Olustee Cemetery under the direction of the Kincannon Funeral Home.

Ramiro was born November 17, 1970, in Altus to Ramiro Sr. and Guadalupe (Suniga) Garcia. He graduated as salutatorian from Olustee Schools. While in school, he worked as a farm laborer with his stepfather Jesus Ramirez for Lewayne Drury Farms. Ramiro spent the last 17 years with his life partner Bonita Akers. To this union, four children were born. He continued to work as a farmer for Roger and Brad Moreau Farms and then at Mock's Feedlot. Ramiro worked for the last 12 years as farm and ranch foreman for Jim Pryor Farms. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, roping, riding, baseball and especially softball, as he played in softball tournaments for the last 10 years with his compadres, the "Bravos." He was a loving husband and father and treasured his time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ramiro Garcia Sr.; his grandparents, Candelario and Francisa Suniga; Perfecto and Ignacio Garcia; and one brother, Porforio Garcia.

He is survived by his wife Bonita of the home; his children, J.R., Bobby Ray, Fera and Chantilly; his mother and step father, Lupe and Jesus Ramirez; eight sisters, Hope Sanchez and husband Lupe, Aurora Ramirez and husband Jose, Oralia Bonfy and husband Dane, Norma Lopez and husband Paul, Frances Marez and husband Joe, Rosalinda Garcia, Zulema Rodriguez and husband Rudy and San Juana Estraca and husband Ismael; four brothers, Candelario Garcia and wife Lori, Eliasar Garcia, Jose Angel Ramirez and Jesus Ramirez Jr. and wife Sara; his mother and father-in-law, Lou and LaVon Akers; three sisters-in-law, Jo Ellen, Evan and Camella; one brother-in-law, Todd Akers; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many beloved friends.
