The Warren Senior Citizens/Community will be having their regular third Friday music night at 6 p.m. today at the community building, 7 miles east of Blair on Highway 19.

Mangum is having their 72nd Annual Mangum Mountie Rodeo on Friday and Saturday. Hext Rodeo Company Stock Producers books open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday or call (806) 323-8495. The Eldorado People's Action Committee is having a large garage sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. Miscellaneous items will be available. No clothing. The sale will be at the community building on Main Street in Eldorado.

Western Oklahoma State College's chapter of Phi Theta Kappa will be holding a car wash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Mazzio's in Altus. All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

The Duke Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Citywide Garage Sale, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Sales will be set up all over town.

United Way will meet at noon Monday at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church. All United Way board members, UW agencies' directors and board members are reminded to attend this Dutch-treat luncheon to discuss the 2004 Fall Campaign.

Jackson County's Promise is currently taking applications for the Summer Youth Entrepreneur Camp, which they are hosting for teens interested in making extra money and gaining experience as their own boss. All Altus High School Alumni will be having a banquet at the high school cafeteria from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, June 26.

On Saturday, June 26, Longrider Jeanette Hall will begin her

journey to retrace the "hoofprints" of the Abernathy boys. Like Louis

and Temple Abernathy, her journey will begin at Crossroads Ranch, west

of Frederick and end in New York. Prior to Jeanette's departure, a trail

drive and authentic chuckwagon dinner will be held at Crossroads on

Friday, June 25. Saddle up and bring your horse to Crossroads at 4:30 p.m. that day and begin the drive to move 200 head of cattle from the hills down to the riverbottom. Entertainment will begin at 6:15 p.m. and dinner will start at 7 p.m. Tickets for the dinner are $15 for adults, $6 for children 10 and under. Tickets

for the trail drive are $25 for adults, free for children 10 and under and may be purchased at Box Inc, Frederick Ace Hardware or by calling 580-335-5689. First National Bank in Altus will also sell tickets.

The Southwest Oklahoma Chapter of the American Red Cross will hold a annual meeting at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, June 27, at the Sig Hove Center, 905 N. Willard. Anyone having an interest in the Red Cross and the services it provides is welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served. The Red Cross is always looking for volunteers.

The American Red Cross is taking enrollment for an Adult CPR/AED Review class to be held June 29. Call the chapter at 580-482-5303 for further information.

A Benelli Super Black Eagle 12-gauge shotgun is being raffled. One hundred tickets at $20 each will be sold. The drawing will be held Sept. 25 at Great Plains Friends of NRA. For more information, call David at 482-6469 or Keith at 482-4570
