The City of Altus Relay for Life Team is hosting a hot dog lunch n the east side of the City Auditorium from 12 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 2 to benefit the American Cancer Society. The menu includes char-broiled hot dogs, chips, lemonade or ice tea and homemade cookies or brownies for $3.00.
Altus will have a Fireworks Show at 9:30 p.m. Sunday at the Reservior.

CASA is now taking applications for the July volunteer training to become Court Appointed Special Advocates. The training is free and consists of 30 hours, broken down into 10 three-hour blocks. CASA volunteers speak up for abused children in the court system and make a difference in a hurting child's life.
