A Hobart man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Friday night on a Kiowa County Road.

Bobby Robbins, 46, was pronounced dead on arrival at Elkview General Hospital in Hobart. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said he suffered massive head, trunk internal, trunk external and arm injuries.

Robbins was the driver of a 1997 Chevrolet pickup-truck which was northbound. The OHP said the vehicle left the roadway on the right and then Robbins overcorrected, causing the pickup to exit the highway on the left side. The vehicle hit a guard rail and the driver was ejected.

Seatbelts were not in use. The wreck was investigated by Trooper George Hoyle of the Hobart detachment of the OHP. He was assisted by Lt. Mike Holloway and Trooper Mark Smith.
